Dana Hicks-Hungerford is a Native DC Washingtonian, entrepreneur, playwright, producer, actress and the creator of the YOU MAKE THE BAG handbag line.  Her theatrical accomplishments have come from working with theatre production companies such as DC Black Broadway and Timeless Entertainment.  As an actress she has graced some of the most prestigious stages in the DC Metropolitan area, such as The Historic Lincoln Theater in Washington, DC and prestigious MGM National Harbor in Maryland.    

Dana has been seen on TVOne, ID Channel, OWN Network, CW Network, and on Amazon Prime.  She was also featured in British Vogue as a model for the Global Cosmetic Line, Natalia Megan Beauty. Dana was featured on billboards in the heart of Times Square during the entire New York Fashion Week in September 2022 and 2024.   

 Her playwright debut and style of writing shined bright on May 14th-15th, 2022.  It left attendees that came from near and far leaving rave reviews.  Hungerford Distribution produced the stage play “A Woman’s Love” at the notable Bethesda Theater and that weekend ended with two “sold out” shows. “A Woman’s Love” stage play was taken on the road to Charlotte North Carolina in 2023 and it was produced at the Knight Theater which is one of the most renowned theatres in Charlotte. 

 Dana is truly a woman that knows and understands the entertainment industry, and what it takes to create projects that will appeal to people from all walks of life. Her first film “Unhinged Love,” was written and Executive Produced by her and her husband Brian Hungerford. Their film will be released this year in 2025. She is currently the Executive Producer and Producer of “The Underdogs, Don’t Count Us Out” a 3-episode docuseries currently in production.  

 Dana is truly determined to take her knowledge and hands-on experience into making “Hungerford Distribution & Hungerford Films”  Nationally known names.
